The ladies took over Heidelberger Frühling This year once again, under the artistic direction of Thomas Hampson, the HEIDELBERGER FRÜHLING presented a Lied Academy; in 2024, Hampson was supported by faculty member Susan Manoff and Study Director Elitsa Desseva. According to the reviewer’s recollection, women have never been so dominant in terms of presence since the Academy’s founding in 2011; among the eight vocal fellows, only a single baritone voice was heard.
