“Music Thrives on Ambiguity” – Interview | 1st Prize, Duo for Voice and Piano (Lied), FS&MM

Duo Timoshenko & Desseva won the 1st prize in the category „Duo for Voice and Piano (Lied)“ at the 2018 FS&MM. In conversation with Christian Utz and Thomas Glaser, the Russian-Bulgarian duo talks about their program composition, the musical language of our and the Schubert’s era and how to recognize yourself as a musician in your own interpretation. Interviewers: Christian Utz is a Professor of Music Theory and Music Analysis at the University of Music and Performing Music Graz (KUG) & Thomas Glaser is a musicologist and works as academic staff (postdoctoral) at the KUG.
